I supported nurses and health care staff at Methodist Hospital’s Emergency Department, Medical ICU, Labor and Delivery, and Cardiac Step-Down as a Certified Medical Assistant intern. I helped obtain and document vital signs and clinical patient information, and I observed and assisted with triage workflow, emergency procedures, labor support, and postpartum care.
I’m fluent in Spanish and communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families to improve understanding, comfort, and quality of care. I also hold NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, AHA Basic Life Support, and an OSHA General Industry Certification, and I’ve volunteered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Run/Walk through HOSA.
