Lindsey Heffron

As a Registered Nurse III in the Women’s and Children’s Float Pool, I managed complex care of inpatients across various departments including Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, and NICU. I floated to Covid-19 ICUs during the pandemic and took on leadership roles, mentoring nurses and students in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

Taught interactive childbirth classes both in-person and virtually, creating a supportive learning environment during the Covid-19 pandemic. Developed educational materials and facilitated discussions on childbirth and maternal health.

Represented the Women’s and Children’s float pool team in departmental meetings, collaborating with nurse representatives and leadership to address team concerns and improve patient care processes.

Served as a DNP Project Facilitator, guiding the development and implementation of a project while supporting DNP students in their academic endeavors.

Worked as a Registered Nurse in the Postpartum Unit, providing care for postpartum and newborn inpatients. Gained experience in floating to NICU and participated in various leadership and mentorship roles.

Completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, gaining comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary for nursing practice. Engaged in clinical experiences across various departments, including Labor and Delivery, Antepartum/Postpartum, Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU.
