I’m a hands-on software engineering lead and consultant who advises leadership on technology strategy, vendor selection, and platform integration. I design and build webapps, websites, and webtools, and I build, manage, and coach agile project teams to deliver outcomes that optimize customer processes.
At Rocket Close (fka Amrock), I led core platforms and scaled engineering execution across up to two teams, overseeing essential services that supported a 4x increase in daily mortgage transactions (from ~3,500 to ~13,500). I delivered an ML orchestration pipeline that coordinated document classification, OCR, signature detection, and data extraction models across microservices—processing peak orders and enabling Rocket Mortgage’s record $351B closing volume (13.5K mortgage packages / ~2 million pages daily in 2021).
I also modernized enterprise systems from monolith to distributed microservices with hybrid-cloud expansion and CI/CD, and I built monitoring/alerting to reduce time-to-detection and improve uptime. Alongside that, I turned around multiple teams by remediating major security incidents, establishing stakeholder trust, and coaching engineers from “termination track” to exceeding expectations.
Beyond delivery, I designed and delivered AI, cloud, and modern engineering enablement programs to teach the next generation of software engineers at Microsoft and global partners. I partnered with Azure, Defender, M365, and GitHub SMEs to align curriculum to internal standards, led distributed cohorts across external partners, and placed 100+ Microsoft hires across engineering, PM, and TPM roles.
