What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an academic role where I can teach life-sciences, lead departments responsibly, and continue research in biochemistry/microbiology/biotechnology—while mentoring students with strong standards of academic excellence.

I am an experienced biochemist and educator with 30+ years of teaching experience and 6 years of research expertise spanning Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology. I have strengthened my practice through research work at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and through a Ph.D. focused on biodegradation of environmental pollutants.

Over my career in academia, I served as an Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry (1993–2005), an Associate Professor in Chemistry (2005–2021), and then as Head of Department, Chemistry and Associate Professor (2021–2024). I am recognized for my commitment to academic excellence, scientific research, and nurturing future leaders in the life sciences.

My research and applied experience includes publishing 3 international papers and contributing to projects such as gold extraction from gold ore, including an alternative method using bagasse. I also actively develop academic offerings, having attended multiple national/international conferences and completed refreshed and orientation courses in Chemistry.
