Lauren Valli
@laurenvalli
I'm an environmental law student advancing environmental justice through litigation, policy, and legal research.
What I'm looking for
I've supported environmental litigation and policy work with Environmental Integrity Project, Earthjustice's Northwest Regional Office, and the University of Washington Regulatory Environmental Law & Policy Clinic.
At Earthjustice, I assisted with litigation strategy, legal research, court filings, client calls, and declarant interviews. I drafted memoranda on NEPA, ESA, FCAA, WCAA, and recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions, while investigating data centers, dam removal, fish passage, and congressional appropriations.
At Smith & Lowney, I analyzed stormwater-discharge contaminant data, pitched Clean Water Act citizen suits, and drafted compliance evaluations, Notices of Intent, litigation memoranda, briefs, and settlement summaries.
I'm completing my J.D. at Seattle University School of Law, where I founded an Environmental Law Attorney Mentorship Program, helped establish the Environmental Lawyering in Washington course, and serve as Managing Editor of the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environmental & Innovation Law. My published work examines citizen science and environmental justice in climate-vulnerable communities.
