Klauss Pontes

I'm a licensed civil engineer who connects cementitious materials science with practical solutions for engineers, contractors, sales teams and clients.

At the University of Minho's GlassCon project, I researched waste glass powder as an alternative supplementary cementitious material to fly ash in Portland cement systems. I used SEM/EDS, XRD and TG/DTG to characterise microstructure and reaction products, contributing to a peer-reviewed Buildings (MDPI) article.

I also conduct structural inspections, issue ARTs, assess façades and marquises, and specify repair solutions focused on structural safety and durability. My site experience includes concrete quality control, foundations, precast structures, technical documentation and renovation projects.

Across leadership roles at Nova Polly Food Packages, I directed commercial operations, trained sales teams on product specification and supported key clients with technical product selection and problem-solving. I'm equally comfortable in the laboratory, on site and presenting technical guidance to customers.
