Kier Chester Garcia

Hi! My name is Kier Chester L. Garcia, and I am a Certified Public Accountant based in the Philippines.

I’m currently looking for a remote bookkeeping or accounting opportunity, particularly with clients using Quickbooks and Xero Accounting, and other related or similar software.

I may not have an official hands-on bookkeeping experience yet, but I come with a solid foundation in accounting. I recently earned my QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Xero Advisor certifications. To put into practice the knowledge I gained in the courses provided for the said certifications, I have been recording my personal income and expenses on Quickbooks and Xero. Further, I’m actively expanding my knowledge in US taxation through self-learning and courses from Coursera with completed courses on Federal and Multi-State Taxation. I’m also exploring AU taxation as part of my upskilling journey.

Professionally, I have over a year of experience working with Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. as an Administration and Finance Analyst, where I handled cost and usage reporting which is in line with inventory management. Further, I supported various financial recording functions in the organization.

Currently, I work as a State Auditor and have been in this role for 10 years. In this position, I audit the financial statements of some government agencies, review their compliance with relevant laws, and help ensure the accuracy and fairness of their financial reporting.

I may be new to the bookkeeping field, but my credentials as a CPA, combined with my real-world experience in financial reporting and auditing, have equipped me with a strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail. I’m also committed to continuous learning to provide high value support to potential clients.

I am the type of person who keeps on trying and developing new skills, and consistently makes an effort to learn new tasks and to gain enough expertise. In fact, aside from the career path that I took as a CPA, I've also been endeavoring in the field of visual arts including graphic arts and design, and photography.
