With Girl Up(Horit), I study women’s health and period poverty in Bangladesh, using real data to support fair tax laws, affordable products, and better healthcare access.
For my exploratory study on sanitary pad accessibility and affordability in Bangladesh, I developed and carried out a primary survey of 119 urban student respondents.
The study examined inflation, taxation, and menstrual hygiene management. I found that 70% of middle-class urban youth considered menstrual products unaffordable, with economic delays in hygiene linked to dermatological complications.
Since 2024, I’ve partnered with the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up initiative through Girl Up Horit (Bangladesh Chapter) on gender equality and health security. My research toolkit includes survey design, data analysis, and public health advocacy.
