Katie Parris

I’m a Registered Nurse with 10 years of clinical experience across outpatient cardiology, inpatient behavioral health, and ambulatory primary care. I bring strong clinical judgment to assess complex patient needs and support improved long-term outcomes.

In outpatient cardiology, I manage chronic disease and cardiovascular risk with patient assessment and cardiac patient monitoring. I support hypertension, CHF, CAD, and atrial fibrillation management, while performing medication reconciliation and reinforcing adherence.

I’m focused on patient education and whole-person care—teaching disease processes, medications, and lifestyle modification to help patients stay on track. I also document and maintain accurate records in Epic electronic health record systems and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Earlier in my career, I delivered inpatient psychiatric nursing care in a behavioral health unit, including safety monitoring, crisis intervention, and de-escalation. Across settings, I’m committed to interdisciplinary collaboration, effective triage and risk assessment, and discharge planning with follow-up care coordination.
