Karen Zamora

I am a dedicated registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, where I graduated in May 2018 as a Terry Scholar. My nursing career began with an internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where I developed a strong foundation in patient care while working in a telemetry unit. This experience allowed me to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, enhancing my skills in communication and patient management.

Currently, I work at Children’s Health Hospital in the Endocrine outpatient clinic, where I provide comprehensive care to patients with complex conditions such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia and diabetes insipidus. My role involves medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with families to ensure they understand their treatment plans. I previously served as a registered nurse in the Dallas Independent School District, where I conducted health screenings and managed students with chronic health issues, further solidifying my commitment to health education and advocacy.
