At Liberty Mutual, I built a Kafka-based event-driven architecture to replace synchronous mainframe file transfers that were dropping data under load. More than 100 apps now get guaranteed delivery and process on their own schedule.
I wrote an API layer with API Gateway and Lambda for file operations, working with other teams to define contracts and improve error handling. I also created a Python tool that became the team's default process for fixing environment variables in under a second per app.
I owned the RACF-to-IAM security migration for regulated financial systems, mapping legacy authorization rules to AWS equivalents and validating parity before cutover. I also moved more than 100 apps from mainframe to Java microservices on Kubernetes.
At Epsilon Systems C5I, I wrote multithreaded C++ services in Linux for real-time sensor-netting systems and investigated concurrency and data-consistency bugs. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Florida International University.
