Assistant Education Language Teacher passionate about inclusive classrooms, effective lesson planning, and meaningful language acquisition.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Assistant Education Language Teacher focused on helping students and staff navigate cultural differences while building strong language acquisition in the classroom. I bring a positive, inclusive learning environment and a listening-first approach to support students at every level.
In my current role in Kyoto, I collaborate weekly with 9 co-teachers and multiple departments across five placement schools, while developing and implementing lesson plans for beginner to advanced learners. I also create interschool projects that build community and encourage natural communication.
Before this, I earned practical teaching experience through my Student Teacher role, successfully developing and implementing a 2-week study to improve measurement understanding from 15% class average to 76%. I also strengthened leadership and calm decision-making as a Starbucks Shift Manager, training over 20 staff members and de-escalating unexpected issues to support performance and customer satisfaction.
