Joseph Ayitiah

I am a dedicated sustainability consultant and environmental researcher with over 5 years of experience in GHG emissions reduction and sustainable sourcing. My work has involved extensive stakeholder engagement, where I have conducted interviews and analyzed data from more than 50 stakeholders, contributing to evidence-based policy and decision-making. I have successfully led initiatives that achieved substantial emissions reductions, restructured supply chains to incorporate 95% recycled materials, and advised corporate clients on feasible, science-based net-zero targets.

Currently, as a PhD candidate at the University of Ghana, I secured a $1M research grant focused on climate change and health impacts. My research has provided key insights on marine litter in Africa and has led to the formalization of waste management operations. I have presented my findings at international conferences, boosting awareness of plastic pollution and health impacts while moderating multi-stakeholder meetings to develop actionable strategies for sustainable change.
