Jorge A Rivera Flores

I am a scientist with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor’s in General Biology, complemented by an Associate degree in Chemical Technology. I have experience working with microbial ecology, environmental microbiology, and biodegradation of plastics, including laboratory work and field sampling in tropical forest ecosystems. My skills include bacterial isolation and identification, molecular biology techniques, data analysis with statistical tools, and research design.

Professionally, I have worked on federal research projects with the USDA Forest Service, supporting studies on hydrology, forestry inventories, and ecological monitoring. I have also mentored students in STEM programs, coordinated educational workshops, and integrated emerging technologies such as drones for environmental research.

My interests include advancing sustainable solutions for environmental challenges, exploring microbial applications in bioremediation, and fostering community education around ecological issues. I am eager to apply my research skills, scientific communication abilities, and technical expertise to contribute to innovative projects in biotechnology, environmental science, or related industries.
