I’m looking for a fast-paced, cross-functional team where I can design clean-architecture backend systems, build secure and scalable APIs and databases, and own production reliability—while practicing automation and continuous improvement.

I’m a backend-focused Software Engineer with strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web systems, APIs, and databases. I lead the design, development, deployment, and long-term maintenance of the Gym Master System at SmartGyms Kenya, architecting backend services with CakePHP using clean MVC architecture and modular design for maintainability and scalability.

I build secure, reliable REST APIs, integrate third-party systems, and optimize performance and database design—whether it’s HikCentral biometric access control, DigitalOcean production deployments, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP integrations. I’m a strong advocate of clean architecture, automation, and continuous improvement, and I bring a disciplined ownership mindset, code reviews, and documentation to help teams deliver secure, maintainable solutions from system design through production.
