What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a Tier 1 SOC Analyst role where I can monitor, detect, and respond to threats while building on enterprise financial-sector exposure and rigorous cybersecurity training.

At National Bank of Kenya, I monitor enterprise security alerts and support SOC incident triage in a highly regulated financial environment. I investigate suspicious network traffic and anomalous user behavior, helping identify false positives while working within PCI-DSS privacy and compliance standards.

I analyze phishing emails by inspecting headers, assessing malicious URLs through sandboxing tools, and documenting indicators of compromise. I also use enterprise ticketing systems to document incident workflows and support clear shift handovers.

My background also includes network implementation and firewall configuration at Copy Cat Ltd, plus business analysis work focused on process improvement, data modelling, and data-driven recommendations. I'm building on this experience and CompTIA Security+ training to monitor, detect, and respond to threats as a Tier 1 SOC Analyst.
