What I'm looking for

I seek remote or hybrid roles delivering evidence-based counseling, collaborative multidisciplinary teams, opportunities to design wellness programs, and culturally sensitive environments that support professional growth.

Over the past several years, I have built a career grounded in empathy, active listening, and evidence-based counselling techniques. I hold a Certificate in Counselling from the Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors (KAPC), which provided me solid training in core theoretical models and practical skills in non-clinical mental health support. During that time I also led workshops in self‐care, stress management, resilience, and peer support — I’ve seen first-hand how structured skill-building can transform people’s mental wellbeing.

In my counselling work, I’ve been involved in both one‐on‐one coaching and group settings, often helping clients identify and work toward personal goals such as managing anxiety, improving interpersonal relationships, navigating major life transitions, or building stronger routines for emotional health. I have experience working remotely, which sharpened my ability to build trust and rapport even when meeting clients virtually, using tools like video calls and digital follow-ups. I also maintain careful documentation, practice ethical standards including confidentiality, and continually reflect on feedback in order to improve.

Beyond the direct counselling work, I am deeply interested in mental health advocacy and community education — helping reduce stigma, improving access to mental health resources, especially for underserved or remote populations. I enjoy staying up-to-date with recent developments in coaching, psychological first aid, positive psychology, and digital mental health tools. I also value self-care and balance, as I believe a counsellor’s own well‐being directly impacts the quality of care they can provide.

In short, I am committed to using my skills, knowledge, and passion to support others in achieving greater resilience, emotional balance, and life satisfaction — especially through remote or accessible mental health coaching modalities.
