Jessica Herrmann

At Sierra Streams Institute, I lead and co-lead multi-day bioassessment field hitches across the Northern and Central Sierra Nevada, support study design, and analyze biological and environmental data to assess restoration success and guide baseline monitoring.

I've also modeled butterfly phenological synchrony and species distributions at Boston University's Mullen Lab, conducted DNA extraction and PCR, and analyzed heavy metals in cannabis samples using ICP-MS at Anresco Laboratories. My work combines field leadership, water-quality and benthic macroinvertebrate sampling, ecological modeling, and scientific writing.
