I've built reliable software for Australian and U.S. companies, most recently improving Optiq's multi-tenant HR and payroll platform for web and mobile.
At Optiq, I reduced schedule-page loading time from seven seconds to about one second and led the full release of the mobile app to the Apple App Store and Google Play. I also built role-based access controls and backend services for HR, scheduling, notifications, and background tasks.
At Smart Accounting AI, I resolved a critical payroll-processing production issue across three codebases, identified four root causes, and delivered seven coordinated fixes. I added 42 automated tests to help ensure payroll records process correctly even when some records fail.
I build with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and AWS. My projects include a six-service banking system with idempotent transfers, Saga-based recovery, and real-time fraud detection.
