At Mapbox, I’m the Technical Lead for Search Box, a multi-language platform powering search APIs integrated by automotive and AI companies. I used LLMs to assess and fill 49% of missing POI popularity data, improving NDCG by 46% for short-kana queries and securing $200K+ per year in commercial deals.
I also proposed and built a Lucene WFST proof of concept to improve autocomplete scalability and decouple core search functionality from downstream integration workflows. I improved service reliability by resolving a long-standing memory leak and fixing vulnerabilities across repositories.
At Delivery Hero SE, I was the Technical Lead for Global Restaurant Search, which powered more than 1 million daily orders. I led latency and cost optimization initiatives that reduced endpoint latency across search services by 30%.
