What I'm looking for

I am looking for opportunities that allow me to support students and communities while utilizing my sociology background.

I am a dedicated sociology student at California State University, Long Beach, set to graduate in December 2024. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in social sciences, particularly through courses like Elementary Statistics and Sociology of Gender. I am passionate about understanding social dynamics and contributing positively to my community.

In my role as an AVID Tutor at both Perris Union High School District and Perris Elementary School District, I have honed my skills in leadership and mentorship. I lead tutorial groups, assist students in overcoming academic challenges, and provide one-on-one tutoring. My ability to translate from English to Spanish has been invaluable in supporting English learners, ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed.
