I've led technology and cybersecurity risk oversight at HSBC Mexico, providing independent second-line challenge across the LAM region to keep risks within appetite.

I produce governance inputs for executive committees, including risk maps, risk profiles, control-environment assessments, opinion papers, and metrics that inform decisions. I also deliver thematic reviews of technology and cybersecurity processes and advise on third-party cyber and technology risk.

Earlier at HSBC, I delivered end-to-end regulatory compliance assurance reviews and strengthened testing through technology and data analytics. As an Information Security Risk SME, I oversaw technology and information risk across Windows infrastructure and ATM environments, raised control findings, and recommended remediation.

My foundation is hands-on infrastructure and security operations, spanning networks, Active Directory, VMware, Fortinet, VPNs, firewalls, IPS, backups, and technical support. I'm currently completing an MSc in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence while building on more than 15 years in financial-sector risk, security, and governance.
