I’m an experienced, results-driven senior journalist with over 20 years in reporting and editing. I’ve worked across national and international media, building a reputation for impactful storytelling and strong editorial leadership.
Most recently, I’ve been freelancing with senior foreign journalists as a reporter and fixer for special stories. Alongside that, I’ve served as Deputy News Editor at UNI and built a new central news desk, strengthening both mid-level editors and freshers, while putting together a competitive social media team.
I’ve also taken on high-responsibility editorial and desk roles: Special Correspondent for The Sunday Guardian and Sunday Indian, Editor for India Masterminds, and Senior Copy Editor at ANI—where I achieved a record number of stories as shift In-charge on a rotating news desk. Earlier, as Chief Sub Editor at IANS, I coordinated desk and morning shifts.
My work is grounded in hands-on reporting and narrative craft, from major assignments like the TATA NANO Singur fallout and coverage of Varanasi weavers to script work and newsroom coordination. I’ve also conceptualized and launched course books for GK and English (Class II–VIII), and I’ve written English, Hindi, and Bangla news scripts as a Script Writer and Copy Desk Head.
