At EMtech Kenya, I developed and maintained backend services for CRM and Claims modules within a Bancassurance platform. I contributed to solutions supporting financial-sector business processes.
I developed RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, and worked on event-driven microservices with Apache Kafka producers and consumers. I also designed relational databases using PostgreSQL.
I containerized backend services with Docker and Docker Compose, and documented and tested APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI. I worked with Git and Agile development practices and participated in troubleshooting integration issues.
I designed and developed a full-stack Loan Tracking System covering customer onboarding, loan issuance, repayment tracking, and reporting. It includes installment schedule generation, fines for delayed payments, an administrative dashboard, and PDF loan statements and payment histories.
