Ik Kang

I am a chemical engineering graduate with hands-on experience across military, pharmaceutical, and academic research environments. Over more than two years I have built leadership, operational management, and collaborative research skills.

During military service as a KATUSA soldier at US Army 2ID headquarters, I managed maintenance schedules, tactics, and subordinate teams, which strengthened my organizational and leadership abilities. In pharmacy operations, I managed OTC drug inventory and ordering, ensuring accurate stock control and supply continuity.

As an undergraduate researcher at Sungkyunkwan University, I contributed to computational protein design projects targeting therapeutic applications and worked on benchtop SWCNT-DNA sensor systems for hydrogen peroxide detection. These roles gave me experience in experimental design, data collection, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

I am ready to contribute immediately in roles that leverage my laboratory skills, operational experience, and attention to detail. I value teamwork, clear communication, and practical problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
