Supported the driller during drilling operations by ensuring mud pumps, stand pipes, rig floor manifold, and related drilling systems were operating correctly. Maintained accurate trip sheets and made trips under the driller’s supervision to change bits, tools, and drill string length.

Provided support to the driller during drilling operations by maintaining correct operation of mud pumps, stand pipes, rig floor manifold, and related drilling systems. Ensured accurate trip sheets during RIH/POOH and supported trips under supervision as needed.

Performed derrickman duties during RIH/POOH by lashing drill pipe stands to the top drive elevator. Mixed drilling fluid and ensured pit suction alignment to the mud pumps through stand pipes to the rig floor.

Ensured mud pumps remained in good working condition during and after drilling operations. Completed first-line maintenance for drilling and well control equipment in line with company procedures and participated in safety drills and departmental meetings.

Worked as a roustabout, roughneck, and pumpman, including supporting crane load movements, making up and breaking out drill pipe and bottom hole assemblies, and assisting with drilling fluid monitoring and solids control equipment operation. Monitored drilling fluid weight, viscosity, and solid content of well bore returns.

Conditioned drilling mud according to mud engineer instructions and monitored for signs of a gas kick during drilling operations for well control purposes. Maintained required drilling mud viscosity and weight and reported unexplainable mud pit increases or decreases to the driller immediately.

Completed an International Well Control Forum well control certificate in 2019.

Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in 2000.

Earned a B.Eng (Hon) in Petroleum Engineering in 1999.

Completed Senior Secondary School, certificate awarded in 1991.
