My independent portfolio projects examine Kenyan public procurement and Chicago crime data, turning real-world datasets into analyses and interactive Power BI reports.
For Kenya PPRA Procurement Analytics, I cleaned and validated procurement records in MySQL, designed a normalized relational database, and analyzed award values and spending concentration with SQL.
In my Chicago crime analysis, I examined crime patterns, geographic concentration, and arrest outcomes. The analysis found an overall arrest rate of approximately 15.48% in the dataset.
I use SQL, MySQL, Power BI, DAX, and Excel for data cleaning, analysis, and dashboard development. My BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics included training in research methods, biostatistics, and data interpretation.
