Hannah Sawin

I am a registered nurse with extensive experience in inpatient obstetrics and childbirth education, practicing at a large medical center since 2009. I focus on safe labor management, fetal monitoring interpretation, and hands-on delivery support to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes.

I train and mentor staff in obstetric nursing, supervise admissions and discharges, and manage transfusions, IV therapy, and specimen collection with careful documentation in electronic medical records. I conduct postoperative reviews and monitor vitals and fluids to meet recovery targets.

As a prepared childbirth instructor since 2010, I develop individualized birth plans, educate families on birth options and risks, and coordinate community resources and referrals to support new parents. I emphasize patient-centered education and collaborative care planning.

I bring a strong commitment to clinical excellence, mentorship, and patient advocacy, grounded in an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and more than a decade of hands-on obstetric experience.
