I am a petroleum chemist and microbiologist with extensive experience at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), focused on production, formulation and evaluation of oilfield chemicals including corrosion inhibitors, demulsifiers, biocides and biosurfactants. My research and applied work target microbial-induced corrosion (MIC), microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR), bioremediation and water treatment, supported by M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses in petroleum microbiology.
I have worked on multidisciplinary projects, contributed to quality control of crude oil and water flooding, held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Oceanology (Chinese Academy of Sciences) on marine microbially influenced corrosion, published multiple peer-reviewed articles, and co-invented patents on chitosan-based surfactants and corrosion inhibitors.
