What I'm looking for

I seek a role that fosters academic collaboration and research opportunities in European history.

My name is Giovanni Costenaro, and I am an international and global historian with a focus on European transimperial corporate networks and their influence on colonial and post-colonial economic policies. I hold a PhD from the European University Institute, complemented by a MA from the University of Trento and a BA from the University of Padua. My academic journey has taken me to various prestigious institutions, including a visiting researcher role at Aix-Marseille and Humboldt universities, and I am currently a Historical Archives of the European Union scholar in Fiesole.

My research critically examines the role of corporate and state-led initiatives in shaping Europe-Africa relations, particularly through industrialization and resource extraction projects. I am in the process of preparing a book manuscript based on my thesis, which delves into the ideological intersections of European integration and decolonization within the broader context of global history. My teaching experience includes lectures and seminars at the University of Trento and the University of Padua, where I engage students in the complexities of modern European history.
