I built the NGOConnect backend as a layered Spring Boot application, with REST APIs, DTOs, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and MySQL. It supports donation listings and claims, pickup scheduling, volunteer assignment, and city- and address-based matching.
For NGOConnect, I implemented JWT authentication, Spring Security, role-based access control, ownership checks, input validation, and admin-controlled organization verification.
I also developed SafeWalk, a mobile emergency-response platform connecting users with nearby responders. Its Java 17 and Spring Boot backend uses MySQL and Redis GEO for persistence and proximity queries.
For SafeWalk, I integrated Apache Kafka for SOS event processing, WebSocket/STOMP for real-time updates, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. During my summer internship and training at GRAstech, I completed a 90-hour project-based program focused on Core and Advanced Java.
