Gaurab Das

I am currently a second-year student at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), pursuing a Bachelor's in Social Sciences. My academic journey has been driven by curiosity and a commitment to problem-solving, particularly in the fields of web development, policy research, and rural innovation. As the co-founder of Sanchar (ELIN) and a policy consultant for the Government of Maharashtra, I focus on bridging communication gaps and ensuring effective governance through technology.

In my role at Sanchar, I have built an online mentorship platform that supports entrepreneurs and designed digital infrastructure to enhance knowledge-sharing among innovators. My experience as a software developer and policy consultant has allowed me to develop a regional language-based digital communication system aimed at improving access for rural populations. I have conducted extensive research on rural development challenges, which has equipped me with the skills to analyze grassroots issues and create actionable solutions.

Additionally, I have taken on leadership roles in various initiatives, such as serving as the Social Media Head for the inaugural National Conference – GRAMODAYA at TISS. My involvement in the National Rural Youth Festival has further honed my skills in digital marketing, content creation, and event planning. I am passionate about using my skills to foster meaningful dialogues and drive social impact.
