I’m looking for a Senior Accountant role where I can deliver IFRS-compliant reporting, strengthen audit-ready controls, and own full-cycle accounting (AR/AP/GL, payroll, and reconciliations) while partnering closely with stakeholders.

I’m a Senior Accountant with over 9 years of experience in audit, accounting, and finance, combining rigorous external-audit supervision with hands-on day-to-day accounting operations. I bring a strong foundation in IFRS reporting and compliance, supported by my Certified Business Accountant (CBA) qualification from CA Sri Lanka.

In Qatar, I currently manage full-cycle accounting for a medical importing and distribution company, including import accounting, landed costs, and IFRS-compliant monthly management accounts and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). I also oversee accounts payable/receivable reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring to support working capital and payment decisions.

Previously, at Alchemist Accounting Consulting WLL, I handled accounts receivable end-to-end—issuing invoices, monitoring payments and overdue balances, investigating billing discrepancies, and supporting month-end closing activities. Earlier roles also expanded my scope across AP, AR, GL, payroll (including WPS), and contract accounting for manpower and government-linked clients.

My audit background strengthens how I work: I maintain clean documentation, support internal control requirements, and collaborate with external auditors using schedules and reconciliations. I’m motivated by accuracy, stakeholder communication, and building finance processes that stand up to review and deliver decision-ready reporting.
