What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can deliver high-quality, compliant financial advice aligned with client goals, use strong financial analysis and risk assessment, and grow toward CAS while supporting business development and long-term client relationships.

I’m a Financial Adviser with a strong foundation in financial analysis, risk assessment, and client relationship management, built through wealth management and audit experience. I’m currently working towards obtaining Competent Adviser Status (CAS), focused on delivering high-quality, compliant advice aligned with client goals and regulatory standards.

In my current role at Gary Walker Wealth Management, I provide ongoing advice to existing clients and support business development by seeking new clients. I advise on investments, pensions, insurance, and tax-efficient strategies, monitor and review portfolios as markets and life circumstances change, and maintain accurate client records while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Before wealth management, I worked in Internal Audit for Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Council, appraising compliance with procedures, instructions, and legislation while advising Directors and Senior Management on corporate governance and control issues. Earlier roles as an Audit Senior at Johnston Carmichael and Ernst & Young strengthened my ability to plan and execute audits, negotiate complex situations, and deliver timely reports with signed opinions.
