What I'm looking for

I want to keep building production software with strong Rails expertise—owning performance, security, and reliability. I’m excited by internal tooling and SaaS-style systems where I can lead migrations, integrations, and measurable improvements through testing and observability.

I’m a Senior Rails engineer with 15+ years shipping production software across healthcare, SaaS, and enterprise. I’m currently contracted at Apple building internal tools used org-wide, and I also build and ship my own Rails apps with a strong focus on performance and security.

Across my roles, I’ve led migrations (including PostgreSQL upgrades with zero production issues), removed critical bottlenecks by eliminating N+1 queries and improving indexing, and addressed security vulnerabilities across the stack. I thrive on ownership—designing systems like org-wide intake workflows, integrating external vendor APIs, strengthening test coverage, and collaborating through design/code reviews, pairing, and mentoring.

Designed and implemented Apple’s org-wide Reuse intake system with inventory tracking, parent-child relationships, smart questionnaire logic, and vendor API integrations. Led a zero-issue PostgreSQL 9.6 to 15 migration, resolved critical performance bottlenecks by eliminating N+1 queries and improving indexing, remediated Rack/RequireJS/REXML/Nokogiri CVEs, and migrated file storage from DB blobs
