Elizabeth Underhill
@elizabethunderhill
Teaching artist who inspires student creativity through practical, therapeutic art instruction.
What I'm looking for
I’m an adaptable teaching artist with a strong focus on communication, helping students get excited about learning. I’m passionate about inspiring and facilitating art making, especially the therapeutic effects of creative practice.
I teach practical art skills that build confidence, using individualized, adaptable lesson plans based on students’ skill level, interests, and abilities. I also bring hands-on classroom management to keep learning engaging and supportive.
I enjoy creating and leading workshop-style learning experiences, including lesson plan and activity development. My goal is to help students be proud of what they create while developing real artistic abilities.
Outside of teaching, I bring operational leadership from experience as a kitchen manager and counseling experience as a camp counselor, including management and guidance for groups of students. I bring that same patience, structure, and encouragement into every art learning environment.
