At American Conservation Experience, I answered public questions about recreation sites and opportunities on the Tahoe National Forest, and shared current fire restrictions and Forest Service Orders.
I patrolled recreation sites, roads, and trails for visitor compliance and unattended campfires. I also maintained facilities and signs and updated campground reservations.
At USFS Tahoe National Forest, I participated in campground opening and closing procedures, assisted with federal recreation fee collection, and performed vegetation management for accessibility and safety. I also volunteer with Nevada County Food Bank, distributing food to residents in need.
