What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead humanitarian finance and compliance—owning budgeting, audits, reconciliations, and partner financial management—while partnering closely with program teams to deliver accurate, timely results under pressure.

I’m a Finance Coordinator with Christian Aid UK’s Nigeria Country Programme, leading financial management, reporting, and compliance across humanitarian projects in Maiduguri, Borno State. I’m known for ensuring donor and organizational policy adherence while strengthening controls that keep transactions accurate and on time.

In my current role, I support the Mastercard Foundation project by reviewing project documents, managing partners’ financial budgets and reports, and ensuring strict compliance with budget utilization across restricted and unrestricted (Code 1) projects. I also help facilitate external and internal audits and support timely statutory remittances for taxes and deductions in the country office.

Previously, I served as a Finance Coordinator and Finance Officer, where I led processes such as annual plans, forecasting, cash flow management, payroll management, and financial reporting. I supervised finance staff within the humanitarian program, coordinated quality checks before entries into the accounting system, and represented the Head of Finance in donor engagements and budget negotiations with authorities such as the FIRS and EFCC as needed.

My background blends accounting with hands-on operational support—from Finance and Admin Associate work (including warehouse/logistics coordination and procurement review) to an early Finance Intern role at Nigeria Bottling Company (Coca-Cola). I’m currently building toward professional credentials (ICAN certificate in view and PGD in view) and bring a focus on stewardship, emergency-ready execution, and practical reporting.
