At Noldor Solutions — Caffeine, I built core backend services in Rust for a geosocial platform connecting coffee shops, roasteries, and coffee lovers. The REST APIs supported the launch of web and mobile clients for around 1,000 initial users.
I standardized client-to-service API contracts with OpenAPI, reducing integration bugs by about 30%. I also designed a dynamic forms engine using a polymorphic PostgreSQL schema.
On my open-source project gridstack, I engineered a Rust Matrix-compatible homeserver backend with custom authentication and continuous sync event streaming, load-tested for 500+ concurrent connections. I implemented rate-limited JWT logins and transactional event persistence with DAG consistency checks.
I also developed an AST-based OpenAPI generator that derives API contracts from Rust source code, saving about 10 hours of manual documentation each month. In AutoSnap, I productized a TensorFlow/EfficientNet classifier as a FastAPI service for car recognition across 196 classes.
