Automation Test Engineer Roles

At Newgen Technomate, I test an e-commerce web application across functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing. I design test scenarios and cases from business requirements and validate REST APIs with Postman.

I also write SQL queries to check backend data integrity and order transactions, and track defects through retesting and release regression.

For automation, I develop Java and Selenium WebDriver scripts and maintain a Cucumber BDD framework using the Page Object Model. I configure test execution with TestNG and use Maven for builds.

I integrated automated test suites with Jenkins pipelines. In my personal projects, I built an e-commerce test automation framework and a Postman API test suite run through Newman in a CI pipeline.
