David Murimi
@davidmurimi
I build public-private partnerships that advance community engagement, policy, and outreach goals.
What I'm looking for
I've built public-private partnerships and community outreach programs across federal agencies, nonprofits, schools, and local markets. In my current work with National Job Corps, I recruit and guide eligible applicants through admissions while supporting enrollment and retention.
At Metronet/VEXUS Fiber, I drive local engagement through events, MDU outreach, affiliate sales partnerships, training, and market-informed campaigns. Previously, at St. Mark's Episcopal School, I connected admissions, DEI, communications, alumni, development, and community-impact programming.
My federal experience includes leading West Texas partnership efforts for the 2020 Census, engaging governments, businesses, higher education, veterans groups, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders to reduce enumeration barriers. At the American Foreign Service Association, I helped secure four provisions in the Department of State Authorization Act and over $250,000 in additional appropriations for the Foreign Agricultural Service.
I've also built international and federal partnerships at Reliance, supported National Park Service youth engagement in Washington, D.C., and provided legislative research and policy analysis on Capitol Hill. I bring a community-first approach to advocacy, strategic engagement, foreign affairs, and relationship building.
