Darla Miller

I am a marine biology professional with hands-on experience in biological sampling, marine mammal and bird monitoring, and aquarium husbandry. I combine field observation skills with careful data collection to support research and conservation efforts.

In my roles I have maintained and repaired aquarium habitats, installed equipment, and ensured the health and welfare of captive marine animals. I have also worked as a fisheries observer collecting prohibited species samples and documenting ecosystem interactions.

I bring strong organizational skills from retail and library positions, where I managed inventory, online orders, cataloging, circulation systems, and patron assistance. My background demonstrates adaptability across fieldwork, technical maintenance, and customer-facing roles.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and graduated with high honors from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs after prior study at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I am committed to applying my observational rigor, data entry accuracy, and communication skills to roles that support marine science, conservation, or educational outreach.
