At Yandex Qazaqstan, I architected and co-implemented a redesign of an asynchronous image downloading service storing billions of images. Per-host workers and configurable rate limits brought it into compliance with source-host limits and reduced aggregate CPU consumption by ~35%.
I also led storage and retention optimization for a petabyte-scale data delivery platform, more than doubling its projected capacity runway. On that platform, I defined the architecture for per-client YTsaurus accounts and designed a data-typing migration that reduced table master-memory usage by ~50–70% on evaluated datasets; rollout is ongoing.
Earlier at Yandex, I worked on telephony, backend infrastructure, billing, and payments. My work included spam detection that filtered out calls accounting for ~3% of daily call volume, provider integrations, and partial refunds; I’ve also mentored engineers from internships to mid-level roles.
