Daniel Amado

I’m a Medical doctor with a strong interest in orthopedics and traumatology, and I’m equally driven by clinical research. I bring a passion for the clinical-surgical field, grounded in evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Since March 2025, I’ve worked as an Orthopedics surgery physician assistant at a dedicated Orthopedics and Traumatology center in Bogotá, Colombia. My focus includes Orthopedics and Traumatology, articular replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and sports medicine trauma care.

Previously, I served as a General Physician in rural healthcare, supporting clinical and surgical aid across orthopedics and traumatology, general surgery, emergency medicine, and Intensive Care Unit (UCIN), as well as internal medicine. I developed strong decision-making in high-pressure scenarios and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

During my medical internship, I completed rotations in emergency medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine, and orthopedics and traumatology, with selective rotations in high-complexity orthopedic and trauma settings. I’m also actively pursuing research and publications—covering retrospective cohort work, case reports, and national surgical outcomes collaboration—while strengthening my patient support through training in advanced life support, emergency airway management, palliative care, and violence-victim care.
