Cristian Maghiar

I am a cinematographer, director and sound engineer with a background in photography and video art, trained at the Faculty of Arts Timișoara. I combine a photographer's eye with technical audio expertise to craft compelling visual and sonic narratives.

Over two decades I have worked across stills, short films, documentaries and music videos, directing and shooting projects such as Breathe (2015) and serving as cinematographer on Un Mal Rebel (2024). I have also directed numerous short and experimental films.

On the audio side, I worked as a sound engineer for Manufactura Timișoara (2017–2023) and M2 Timișoara (2023–2024), and I have made sound for over 500 live concerts. My combined skills in cinematography, editing and sound deliver polished, production-ready results.

I am passionate about collaborative, creative projects that value strong visual storytelling and high-quality sound design, and I bring hands-on experience from set roles including camera operator, 3rd AD, DIT and editor.
