At City of Homestead, I re-architected a flat Layer 2 network into a segmented Layer 3 design and led the migration from Cisco ASA firewalls to Palo Alto NGFW. I also engineered an MPLS WAN with redundant backhaul links for mission-critical traffic.
I deployed a dedicated Palo Alto environment for the Police Department and interconnected it with City Hall under full CJIS compliance. I hardened the SCADA/OT network and rolled out city-wide SSO with Cisco Duo MFA.
My work at the City also included deploying security monitoring and endpoint protection, designing wireless networks for city parks, and rebuilding the Hyper-V failover cluster. Earlier, at BG International Group, I supported mixed Windows, Linux, and macOS environments and migrated the organization to a fully SaaS-based model.
