At University of New Mexico, I assist physicians and surgical teams within my scope of practice, initiate surgical counts with the circulating nurse, and prepare supplies and equipment for procedures.
As a Certified Surgical Technologist at Sanford Medical Center and University of Nebraska Medical Center, I supported general surgery, including bariatric and robotic procedures, along with other surgical specialties.
Earlier, I supported patients through registration and access at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital and supervised daily shift operations at Starbucks. I hold an Associate of Surgical Technology from Midwest Institute and am BLS and NBSTSA certified.
