Carlos Williams
@carloswilliams
Experienced mechanical CAD designer specializing in hydronics, piping, and plumbing for institutional and commercial projects.
What I'm looking for
I am a seasoned mechanical design engineer and CAD designer with deep experience in hydronics, piping and plumbing systems for institutional and commercial projects.
Over two decades I have led field surveys, piping stress analysis using CAEPipe, pump system design with PipeFlo, and developed P&IDs, plan-and-profile sheets, and bills of materials in Excel. I have produced AutoCAD and MicroStation deliverables, handled RFIs, cost estimates and punch lists, and maintained specifications as chairperson. My background also includes OSP and electrical CAD drafting, plumbing and medical gas design, and site plans integrated with GIS.
I collaborate with contractors and project teams to convert field conditions into accurate as-built and new-construction drawings. I am set up for remote work and seek roles where I can apply my CAD, hydronics and piping expertise to deliver reliable, constructible designs.
