Architecture for a digital lending platform serving millions of users.

Designed and built the PII externalization layer - tokenization, envelope encryption, the full compliance stack. Evaluated vendor vs build trade-offs, took it from basic encryption to full externalization in three phases.

Built the architecture function from scratch - hired, mentored, set the review culture.

Architecture across User & Accounts, Buyer Growth, Risk, and Shared Services.

Built the GraphQL API gateway - a composition layer over 10+ upstream services that became the single entry point for all frontend traffic. During sale events, that gateway was the control plane: circuit breaking, graceful degradation, cached and partial responses to keep things standing when traffic spiked.
