Analyzes provider documentation and claims data to ensure accurate diagnosis-related grouping and coding quality. Conducts inpatient data quality reviews by validating ICD-10, MS-DRG, and APR-DRG, identifies documentation gaps, and provides education/presentations on coding updates and requirements.

Reviews medical records to determine appropriate DRG assignment by validating diagnosis and procedure code support. Uses ACCDS technology to track coding errors and query opportunities, and researches compliance issues related to coding and denials while collaborating with physicians, coders, and CDI staff.
